Mikasa Everyday China

We finally have some new dishes. I took my list of "safe" dish manufacturers to Younkers this afternoon and picked out the Mikasa Antique White pattern. "A place in time is so exquisitely captured with the lustre and elegance of this uniquely-shaped all-white design ... adding a touch of elegance to a traditional setting." Unfortunately, only 5 days into "I am not going to buy anything MADE IN CHINA for 1 year" didn't last. Everything is Made In China. I have already been to all the inexpensive department stores and every dish pattern there is MADE IN CHINA, so I thought I would try a higher end department store. NOPE, everything is Made In China. In my defense, my DH demanded that I buy new dishes TODAY so I couldn't keep looking...
